On the 29th of May, Rayo Vallecano will celebrate the 100th anniversary of their formation. The next 12 months promise to be a celebration for the Madrid-based side, as they pay tribute to the  special event.

As part of these celebrations, Rayo have announced that they will adopt a new badge for the 2024-25 season. Their crest will be replacing by three lightning bolts, which have been modelled to look like the number 100. They revealed this new design on their official X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Thursday.

Rayo supporters may not have the best relationship with their club at the moment because of the ongoing situation in regards to a possible move away from Vallecas, but this celebratory badge appears to have been warmly welcomed by their fanbase.

Rayo Vallecano will hope that they are adorning this new badge in La Liga. They are edging closer to retaining their place in Spanish football’s top division, as they are eight points clear of the relegation zone with five matches to go.
