Brighton attacker Julio Enciso admits he was second guessing his move when arriving this season.

The youngster has been a revelation under manager Roberto de Zerbi.

But he recalled to Tigo Sport: "I was going crazy, I wanted to play. I was worried because I was a starter at Libertad and instead I couldn't find chances at Brighton.

"Luckily I had my parents with me, they often spoke to me when I thought I wanted to give up, even Mac Allister told me to be patient. I understand Italian a little, De Zerbi told me that he had met another Paraguayan, Mareco, to commit myself and put everything into every ball.

"During a training session, (Billy) Gilmour ripped my shirt off, I reacted by elbowing and pushing him away. De Zerbi stopped training and hugged me, reassuring me. At the end of the session he took me for a walk, then asked me: 'How many games have you played in the Premier League?'.

"I was a little scared, I thought he was angry 'None, Prof', I answered him. He then told me to get ready that the next day he would give me a chance. I could not believe it. Afterwards I apologized to Gilmour for what had happened, explaining to him that thanks to that too I could have played. I feel I'm learning a lot, in Paraguay I had a different mind."
