Texas Rangers two-time All-Star outfielder Adolis Garcia received an important injury update from manager Bruce Bochy on Sunday.

The Texas Rangers were defeated by the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday 4-1. Texas now holds a 24-24 record in 2024. Two-time All-Star outfielder Adolis Garcia missed the game due to a forearm injury. Fans were prepared for the worst, given all the Rangers’ injury concerns. Fortunately, it appears that Garcia and the ball club dodged a bullet.

Rangers’ Adolis Garcia Injury Update

According to Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today, manager Bruce Bochy indicated that the imaging on Garcia’s forearm injury was clean. As a result, Texas is reportedly hopeful Garcia can return on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Garcia is slashing .251/.297/.491/.788 during the 2024 campaign. He has also hit 11 home runs and nine doubles. Garcia made the American League All-Star team in both 2021 and 2023. He earned MVP consideration in 2023 after smashing 39 home runs and recording 107 RBI with a .836 OPS. Garcia also won a Gold Glove Award during the ’23 season.

Garcia has performed relatively well in 2024. The Rangers would like him to get on base more consistently, but the star outfielder is still providing plenty of power at the plate.

Rangers Slumping Heading Into Phillies Series

Despite a recent string of losses, Texas is resilient and determined to get back on track. They are just 3-7 across their past 10 games, but the American League West teams are struggling overall, so the Rangers are still in second place. They are fortunate to only be 1.5 games behind the first-place Seattle Mariners in the division.

The Phillies, meanwhile, are a formidable opponent, holding the best record in the sport as of this story’s writing. Texas will attempt to upset Philadelphia during their upcoming three-game road series against the Phillies. It’s a challenging task, but one that the Rangers are prepared to take on.

However, despite any setbacks, Adolis Garcia will return in time for the Rangers-Phillies series.
